Tengku Umizar Tengku Ubaidillah has more than 25 years of experience in the fund management sector and capital market which covers policy development, and compliance. She has built good relations with relevant stakeholders including various Ministries, government agencies, regulatory bodies, and national and international associations in the capital market. She was a member of the Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA) Accreditation Panel for FAA Programme Accreditation.

She started her career as an associate in a telecommunication company in the USA. Tengku Umizar later joined the Securities Commission in 1994 and held various positions in the Regulatory Policy Department, Product Development Department, and Equity Compliance Unit. She continued her career to serve i-VCAP Management Sdn Bhd (i-VCAP), a licensed Islamic Fund Management and ValueCap Sdn Bhd (holding company of i-VAP) as a Registered Compliance Officer and Group Compliance Advisor, respectively before joining Masyref Shariah Advisory in 2021.

Tengku Umizar holds an MBA in Accounting from the University of New Haven, USA and a BSc in Accounting from the State University of New York, USA. She is currently a Fund Management Consultant specialising in regulatory, governance, and developmental matters.
